I've used Eastwoods Hi temp cast iron paint with good results. My manifolds were painted in 1987 and are just showing signs of needing it agian. If it is tube headers I would think it would do just as good. Just be sure to bead blast to get all the rust off.

Powdercoating is what airborne applies, I'm really not sure if they have a product for headers. Give them a call or go by they can give you a quote and product recommendations. I have not heard anything bad about their work.

Shannon had a set of Hooker long tubes blasted and ceramic coated at Airborn and was happy with the results. I had a set of long tubes coated at HPC and they did a good job as well. You are looking at $150-$200 for the coating.

Airborn did mine back in December for $150. They quoted me $225, but the lady up front (I think it's Marla) said they'd do it for $150 cash. That was an easy one for me! They did a good job except they missed the inside where the primary tubes go into the collector. Be sure to ask for special attention to that if you have them done there.

Where did you hear that from? Like I said, if you speak with Marla she might offer to do them for $150 cash...that's a $75 discount in itself.

I believe they are an OMC sponsor and advertise 10% off to members. However, your $150 cash deal is much better. cool.gif
