We have a 1990 LX Mustange convertable which has the vehicle certification label on it and the label is in good condition. The problem is where the exterior paint code should be it is blank. Does anyone have any ideads as to how the paint color can be identified thanks

surf some late model web sites and ask..If you can find an old sales brocher you might look at the back for the color options and find it..Also try a Ford dealership. They would know the color opts for that year.

Check the "Fox Body Recognition Guide". It has info for all 79-93 Mustangs.

Behind the left front headlight on the frame you will see a small metal tag, called the buck tag. On that tag usually on the 2nd line from the bottom and just to the right of center should be your paint code. Also can be found on the 2nd line from the top on the right.

That is if the tag hasn't been remove, sometimes they can be a little bent up or hard to see.
