Take your pick of the domestic big three's super cars!
ZR1 for me... KR is not upto handling the power it puts down. Infact I would prefer the Z06. Really, people I'm getting tired of Shelby and his marketing with his driving up the price of a "mustang" to the point it has become out of the reach of most of us.
GT500 . It has a trunk and a back seat(somewhat of a back seat)
Man, thats a tough question!! I too could have done without the Shelby badging on the Cobras, they are expensive enough already!! I can tell that my dad has a Z06 C6...I (we) took it out the other night and ran a 12.10 (according to my accelerometer), and 10 minutes later, I ran a 12.72 in my GT500. Both are stock and the weather was in the high 20's. The KR will have a little more power than the standard Shelby, but it may not even be .2 faster. When I find time to get the Kenne-Belle kit on my car, I'll probably eat dads C6 for lunch! Still under 50K for my car-dad has about 70 in his! I have read that the ZR1 is going to be running very low 11.00's! I think I'd be able to beat one with my KB, but if a ZR1 was to make a pulley change, it could easily see 10.00's...On a road coarse, like Hallet, a ZR1 would be crazy, probably kill about any other street car. I may end up doing the Griggs suspension, and could probably give a Z06 some problems, but I'd still give the nod to the ZR1.
I have drove dads car several times and never had anyone take a pic or give a thumbs up-not the case in the Mustang!! A KR would be a SO much cooler from a cruising and attention grabbing aspect, and thats what makes mustangs fun! I'd sure rather have the KR any day. Rather then buy a ZR1, I'd find a GT for about the same money (100k) and put the screws to a ZR1!! (BTW, my father has already reserved himself a ZR1-bastard!!!)

I personally don't think a GT500 has a chance even with a suspension upgrade as good as Griggs. Will have about 90 less hp and be 500lbs lighter. Not too mention the Z has a much better front/rear weight ratio over the cast iron pig heavy GT500's engine. In the drag strip I'd take the KR, but in the corners there is no comparison to me. I actually think the regular Z06 will be faster on the road course than the ZR1 due to heat soak from the roots blower and a heavier front on the car.
