I posted it in the car show and events forum, but thought some may not have looked. It appears we will have more Dead Horse members than OMC members participating as of right now.

Should not come as a shock. I expected it. Annie and I will be there to watch or at least I will watch and Annie will be trying to get rides.... biggrin.gif

This is a driving clinic for you to learn how to drive. It is the perfect venue to get your feet wet. If you just go and watch, you will wish you would have participated. You don't need special tires or mods to run here. Your car will do quite well and you will learn alot about the car's and your limits.

Take my advice - sign up for the event. You won't be disappointed. biggrin.gif

OK, Rob, you've talked me into it. I've PM'd Shannon for a form. I wouldn't think it would be much different than the pursuit driving class I took many years ago when I worked for the PD. Only this time its my car that might get torn up.

My only reservation now is that I usually attend the Burger Day car show in El Reno that is being held the same day. But that depends on whether my 442 is repaired from a small incident with a garage door the other day.

Okay, no offense to Burger Day (I have been to several). It is a good time but trust me, you will enjoy this more.

Well said Rob. The very last thing we want is anyone going off track and especially damaging their car. I've done about 9 or 10 open track events and so far have only spun once (at last years sheriff track event) and haven't been off track yet. I am sure it will happen eventually, but being smart is the key. We will have rules to follow and if they don't get followed, that car will be black flagged. Get black flagged twice and you are done for the day! wink.gif

We are now up to 13 paid participants which is pretty much half way to what we can accept. Better get your registration in asap if you are planning to drive in this one.

skmcobra- 04-16-2008
We have room for about 5-6 more if anyone is still interested.

Shannon: Please post directions to the track.

Take I-35 to NE 36th street exit. Go east for about 3 miles and you will pass Air Depot Road on your right. Go about another 1/3 mile and there will be another Air Depot on your left (north). That is the entrance to the Sheriff's training facility. The gate will be open at 9am. Be sure not to speed down 36th as there are cops in that little town who love to give tickets. Save all of your fast driving for the track. cool.gif
